The ballerina is a shoe inspired by the dance shoes used by ballet dancers (hence the name). The dancers have a very thin sole, have no heel or otherwise have a very low heel, and leave the upper part of the foot abundantly exposed. In their front part they can be decorated with strings or other aesthetic ornaments. They are generally combined with casual clothing, although the more elegant models are well suited to more formal clothing.
